Location: Cambridge, MA

Zifo is searching for a Senior Program Manager to manage one of Zifo’s strategic multi-year programs for a marquee customer based in the Cambridge, MA area. This role involves engaging cross-functionally with customer SMEs, Business Owners, Informatics Solution Owners, IT Teams, external customer groups (e.g., Validation and GXP process groups), and 3rd party vendor teams.

Responsibilities:

  • Partner with the Business Systems owner to execute development projects involving Benchling ELN and Signals platforms.
  • Assist in the global rollout of these platforms across 3 sites.
  • Support pharma sciences and biologics research and early CMC.
  • Develop a Platform Feature Development lifecycle to ensure seamless adoption of Benchling as the preferred informatics platform.
  • Manage multiple concurrent development tracks, addressing risks and issues.
  • Identify cross-dependencies and promote efficiency across workstreams.
  • Create visualization tools to represent project status and key metrics.
  • Develop MIS reports for tactical and executive use.
  • Report on program execution metrics and identify efficiency improvements.
  • Support operational work done by the Zifo team and provide guidance.
  • Monitor vendor project execution to ensure alignment with plans, schedule, scope, and budget.
  • Apply agile methodologies to improve transparency and operational efficiency.
  • Review and optimize intake and prioritization processes periodically.

Required Skills:

  • Expertise in tools like JIRA, Smartsheet, MS Project, and MS Office Suite.
  • Experience in consultative program management and project strategy development.
  • Proficiency in preparing operational and status reports for leadership.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to build relationships across organizational levels.
  • Understanding of Drug Discovery & Development processes.
  • Knowledge of Lean or similar process optimization methodologies.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 10 years of experience managing large-scale projects/programs.
  • Project Management Certification (e.g., PMI-ACP, PMI-PgMP, PMI-PMP).
  • Experience in pharmaceutical or biotech R&D industry.
  • At least 5 years of experience in Agile project execution, especially SCRUM.
  • Experience working with multidisciplinary and geographically dispersed teams.
  • Experience managing projects involving system integration and 3rd party COTS products.
  • Self-motivated, results-driven, with a willingness to learn new skills.
  • Experience as a Business Analyst in requirements elicitation and documentation.
  • Understanding of Drug Discovery & Development processes and process optimization methodologies.
