The Financial Reporting Accountant will focus on preparing and analysing financial reports, ensuring compliance with accounting standards. This role in Preston requires strong technical accounting expertise and attention to detail to support the Accounting & Finance department.

Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate financial statements and reports in accordance with relevant accounting standards.
• Support month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring all deadlines are met.
• Analyse financial data to identify trends and variances, providing actionable insights.
• Maintain compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies.
• Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts for the Accounting & Finance team.
• Collaborate with internal and external auditors to facilitate audits and reviews.
• Provide technical accounting advice and support to other departments within the business.
• Continuously seek opportunities to improve processes and systems within financial reporting.

Qualifications

• A qualification in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Proficiency in financial reporting and technical accounting standards.
• Experience working within the professional services industry.
• Strong analytical skills with a focus on detail and accuracy.
• Confidence in using financial software and tools effectively.
• The ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Job Offer
