Overview

Pertemps is delighted to be partnering exclusively with a growing and ambitious business based in central Glasgow to appoint a Finance Manager. This is a newly created role offering the chance to genuinely shape the way the finance function operates. This opportunity would suit a recently qualified Chartered Accountant (ICAS), or equivalent, who is looking for variety, responsibility and a pathway into a broader leadership position.

The business is entering an exciting period of growth and transformation. You’ll work closely with the Finance Director and other senior colleagues to deliver accurate financial reporting, improve processes, and add value through commercial analysis. This is a role with a lot of visibility and scope to make an impact.

What the role involves

• Production of monthly management accounts and reporting packs
• Responsibility for budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow
• Supporting senior management with commercial analysis and insight
• Developing financial controls and driving improvements in systems and processes
• Involvement in strategic initiatives including investment appraisal and business planning
• Supporting the development of more junior team members as the team grows
• Leading as finance point of contact on commercial projects

What we’re looking for

• A recently qualified Chartered Accountant (ICAS/ACCA)
• Confident in producing management accounts and financial reports
• Strong Excel and systems skills
• Comfortable working closely with operational teams and senior stakeholders
• Someone who takes ownership, asks questions, and is keen to improve things
• A team player who’s ambitious and wants to grow their career over the next few years
