Project Manager – £45,000 + Benefits – Liverpool / North West

We’re looking for a Project Manager to lead the planning and execution of biomarker assay projects across all clinical phases. You’ll work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth delivery, scientific accuracy, and outstanding service to our clients.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead end-to-end project management for biomarker assay projects
• Translate scientific and technical details into clear project goals and updates
• Work with internal teams including assay development, bioinformatics, regulatory, and data science
• Maintain alignment between biomarker strategies and clinical objectives
• Coordinate resource planning, budgeting, and milestone invoicing
• Provide clear, regular updates to clients and internal stakeholders
• Monitor project progress, manage risks, and resolve issues proactively
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date project documentation
• Contribute to Standard Operating Procedures
• Prepare project metrics and lead review meetings
• Some domestic and international travel may be required

The Person

We’re looking for someone who has:

• 3–5+ years’ project management experience in biotech, pharma, or diagnostics
• Experience working in biomarker-related clinical trials or services
• Excellent communication skills, both client-facing and internal
• Good understanding of mass spectrometry, proteomics, lipidomics, or metabolomics
• A degree in Life Sciences, Biotechnology, or related fields
• Certification in Good Clinical Practice and PMP/PRINCE II (desirable)
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple stakeholders
