About the role
You will work closely with and report to the Reserving Manager. Your primary objective is to assist the Reserving team in quarterly reserving process and other duties where necessary.
As the Graduate Actuarial Analyst, your key responsibilities will involve
• Support the reserving team with the quarterly reserving process for all managed Syndicates, focused on data processing, basic modelling and report writing.
• Assist with regular production of reserve monitoring statistics for reporting to senior management and relevant committees.
• Assist with production of Solvency II and GAAP technical provisions including reporting.
• Support the team in implementing new methodologies to ensure continued relevance and efficiency.
• Maintain appropriate records for all work.
• Undertake any other related duties as may be reasonably required.

About you
• A university graduate having achieved a degree with a significant mathematical component, with upper second class honours or above.
• A strong academic background with good analytical and mathematical skills.
• Ability to quickly learn and adapt to specialist actuarial software and methodologies.
• Attention to detail and ability to solve problems using own initiative.
• Strong communication skills, both oral and written.
• Have an enthusiastic ‘can do’ attitude.
• Strong work ethic, comfortable working through periods of high demand and able to prioritise workload.
