Chapter Interiors is hiring a senior architect/interior designer to join its team in Bath, UK.

Overview

Chapter are searching for a highly motivated individual to join our Bath office, ideally someone who has six plus years’ experience within high end residential design and specification. The ideal candidate will have comprehensive design skills and the ability to act autonomously to drive forward design development across projects.

Qualifications:

• ARB registered architect, or
• bachelor’s or master’s degree in architecture or interior design

Role and responsibilities:

• manage the design programme for projects, working closely with leadership to execute a project plan and ensure that the project is delivered according to methodology standards
• fully able to express strategy through targeted design communication
• holds responsibility for project management as is needed
• engages with external partners to strengthen the design strategy as is needed
• leads projects, and can guide and mentor a team in a collaborative design process
• responsible for developing more junior team members through effective delegation and team management including delivering feedback, performance management and recognition
• responsible for preparing presentation material independently, that can accurately and effectively communicate the design strategy, directly to the client
• produce and deliver work according to deadlines
• manages shifting deadlines and priorities across multiple projects and manages team resourcing around this

• broad knowledge of material / installation costs
• able to hold court with other consultants
• ability to look through trends

Skills:

• ability to communicate through drawings with range of audiences
• excellent drafting ability in CAD
• ability to learn new software
• able to sketch to communicate ideas
• good modelling capabilities in rhino 3D
• experience in model making and 3D printing
