  • Understanding construction outputs thoroughly.
  • Writing and reviewing detailed, complex method statements.
  • Managing parts of the project cost plan.
  • Assisting in procuring subcontractors and suppliers.
  • Deputising for the Site Manager as required.
  • Chairing meetings with clients, designers, subcontractors, suppliers, and third parties.

  • Implementing and managing the HSEQ management plan.
  • Setting up and overseeing office administration systems.
  • Ordering and managing site IT systems installation.
  • Serving as Temporary Works Co-ordinator and/or Crane Co-ordinator.
  • Developing project programmes to meet completion targets, including detailed, logical, resource-loaded schedules showing critical activities, quantities, key dates, procurement, statutory approvals, and method statements.
  • Assigning sections of the programme to engineering staff for detailed planning and supporting their work.
  • Preparing fortnightly construction programmes derived from the master schedule.
  • Monitoring financial targets and conducting regular cost review meetings with the commercial team.
  • Understanding activity costs and identifying critical financial activities.
  • Engaging subcontractors in planning and integrating their schedules into the overall plan.
  • Encouraging team ownership and involvement in the project plan.
  • Coordinating operational activities with section leaders.
  • Tracking progress, updating the schedule, and reporting to the Project Manager and team.
  • Updating the programme weekly with actual progress and events affecting timelines.
  • Reviewing upcoming critical activities and long-lead items.
  • Ensuring all paperwork, permits, licenses, and approvals are in place for planned work.
  • Conducting regular planning meetings to review past performance, upcoming tasks, and contingency planning.
  • Holding review meetings with the Project Manager, Agent, and QS to discuss delays and disruptions.
