We’re supporting a well established subcontractor renowned for delivering complex MEP solutions across Europe. With a strong track record in mission-critical environments and a growing international presence, they are now seeking their next Electrical Construction Manager for a major new build data centre project in Slough.


This is a long-term contract opportunity (up to 2 years) and a chance to play a key role in the successful delivery of a high-profile project.


Responsibilities as a Construction Manager:

  • Oversee all electrical construction activities on site, ensuring alignment with project specifications, drawings, and safety standards.
  • Manage and coordinate subcontractor teams and direct labour, ensuring efficient execution of works.
  • Liaise with the main contractor, design teams, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth communication and resolution of technical issues.
  • Monitor project progress, report on key metrics, and ensure work is delivered to schedule and budget.
  • Review and approve method statements, risk assessments, and work permits.
  • Manage procurement and delivery schedules for electrical materials and equipment.
  • Lead daily and weekly coordination meetings with site teams and subcontractors.
  • Work closely with the project manager and commissioning team to ensure seamless handover and system integration.


Requirements:

  • Degree or diploma in Electrical Engineering, Building Services, or similar SMSTS or SSSTS (Site Management Safety Training Scheme)
  • 18th Edition IEE Wiring Regulations (preferred)
  • Proven experience as an Electrical Condtruction Manager on data centre projects.
  • Strong background in electrical installation.
  • Ability to lead teams, manage programme delivery, and communicate with key stakeholders.
  • Strong understanding of LV/MV/HV systems, electrical schematics, installation practices, and commissioning processes.
  • Familiarity with working under main contractor or subcontractor frameworks
  • Right to work in the UK.
