Key job responsibilities

As a leader and manager of the team, you will work with business partners, software development engineers, testers, and UI/UX designers to design, implement, test, launch, and maintain new automotive experiences with Alexa. You will influence our overall strategy by helping define product features, drive system architecture, and promote best practices that enable a quality product. You will learn automotive technologies, development processes, and develop skills such as leadership and project management. You will also be responsible for building a strong development team and developing career plans for your engineers.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

• 7+ years of engineering experience
• 3+ years of engineering team management experience
• 8+ years of experience leading the development of multi-tier web services
• Knowledge of engineering practices and patterns across the full software/hardware/network lifecycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control, build processes, testing, certification, and live site operations
• Experience partnering with product or program management teams
• Experience in designing or architecting systems (design patterns, reliability, scaling)

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Experience communicating with users, technical teams, and senior leadership to gather requirements, describe features, and define product strategy
• Experience recruiting, hiring, mentoring, and managing teams of software engineers to improve their skills and effectiveness
