Career Teachers is seeking a compassionate and motivated Teaching Assistant to support students with primary needs of Autism (ASC) and Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) in achieving their full potential within a specialist school in Enfield.

Position: SEN Teaching Assistant
Location: Enfield
Start Date: ASAP

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist teachers in delivering tailored educational programs.
  • Provide one-on-one and small group support to students with diverse needs - Primary needs of ASC and SEMH.
  • Help manage challenging behaviour and create a positive learning environment.
  • Support students' social and emotional development.
  • Participate in school activities and contribute to a supportive school community.

Requirements:

  • A genuine passion for working with children and young people.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with teachers and other staff members.
  • Experience in a similar role or working with children is preferred.
  • Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude.
