Job Title: Responsible Individual (RI) – Ofsted Regulated Children’s Home Location: Croydon, Surrey
Employment Type: Part-Time / Consultancy Basis
Hourly Rate: £45 – £70 per hour (depending on experience)
We are a dedicated and forward-thinking provider in the process of establishing a high-quality, Ofsted-regulated children’s home in Croydon, Surrey. Our mission is to create a safe, nurturing, and supportive environment for children and young people with complex needs. To help us achieve this, we are seeking an experienced and committed Responsible Individual (RI) to support our registration and oversee the strategic leadership of the service.
As Responsible Individual, you will play a crucial leadership role in ensuring that the home operates in full compliance with Ofsted regulations, the Children’s Homes (England) Regulations 2015, and the Quality Standards. This role is ideally suited for an experienced RI or senior care professional seeking a flexible consultancy or part-time engagement.
Provide strategic oversight and regulatory leadership for the children’s home
Ensure compliance with all relevant legislation, policies, and procedures
Represent the service during Ofsted inspections and liaise with external agencies
Monitor performance, quality, and outcomes across all areas of the home’s operation
Minimum of 5 years' experience in a senior management or operational role within an Ofsted-regulated children’s home
Comprehensive understanding of the Children’s Homes Regulations and Quality Standards
Demonstrable experience supporting or leading Ofsted inspections
Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care) is desirable
Enhanced DBS check and satisfactory references are required
Flexible hours on a consultancy or part-time basis
