Contract: Permanent
Hours: Full time - 37.5 hours per week, predominantly 8am to 4pm. We promote flexible working with a blended working from home arrangement.

Job Overview

The post holder is operationally responsible for energy and utility services in key specialist fields, including energy management, regulatory compliance, contract management, and sustainability initiatives. They will act as the point of contact for external agencies and lead on environmental reporting and compliance.

Main Duties

  • Manage energy performance contracts and attend contractual meetings.
  • Lead the Trust’s compliance with environmental regulations and reporting requirements, including UKETS, DECs, EPCs, and others.
  • Monitor and target site energy and utility consumption, providing expert advice to support energy and emissions targets.
  • Assist in budget setting for energy and utility costs.

Person Specification

Essential Qualifications and Experience

  • Degree in engineering, energy, environmental management, or equivalent experience.
  • Specialist knowledge in energy supply, legislation, and efficient technologies.
  • Experience in large organizations, environmental sustainability, and delivering sustainability initiatives.

Desirable Qualifications

  • Chartered membership of IEMA, project management qualification, or recognized carbon reporting qualification.

Skills

  • Excellent communication skills, report writing, and ability to develop professional relationships.
