Job Title:Apprenticeships and Early Careers Partner
Department:HR and Organisational Development
Reports To:Apprenticeships and Early Careers Manager
Dates:09/06/2025 to 01/09/2025
Location:Southwark - Hybrid - 2 to 3 days in the office
Working Hours:Monday to Friday, 9:00am - 5:00pm (36 hours per week)

Purpose of the Job

The Apprenticeships and Early Careers Partner will play a critical role in the design, delivery, and management of apprenticeships and early careers programmes. This includes apprenticeships, internships, work experience placements, and graduate schemes. The postholder will ensure that these programmes are aligned to workforce strategies, promote diversity and inclusion, and provide robust support to participants to enable them to succeed.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the day-to-day delivery of early careers and apprenticeship programmes.
  • Design timelines and implement new cohorts for apprenticeships and early careers positions.
  • Support and manage graduates within the graduate programme.
  • Lead the planning, procurement, and implementation of apprenticeship and early career pathways.
  • Work collaboratively with the Resourcing Team to promote the employer brand and attract top early careers talent.
  • Co-ordinate onboarding and induction processes for new programme participants.
  • Maintain and grow relationships with external partners including schools, colleges, and universities.
  • Develop inclusive, fair, and engaging recruitment and selection processes for early career talent.
  • Identify and manage contracts with external training providers, ensuring compliance with procurement policies and high-quality delivery.
  • Analyse programme and diversity data, using insights to drive continuous improvement and to address under representation.
  • Provide holistic support including pastoral care, peer support, and career development guidance to programme participants.
  • Evaluate programme outcomes and develop action plans to optimise impact and learner success.
  • Line manage assigned apprentices, interns, or other early career colleagues as necessary.

Essential Experience:

  • Relevant work experience in HR, organisational development, apprenticeships, or education
  • Proven experience designing and delivering apprenticeship and/or early careers programmes
  • Experience offering pastoral, learning, and peer-to-peer support
  • Experience procuring and contract managing external training providers
  • Experience using data to evaluate and improve programme delivery
  • Experience managing and launching apprenticeship and internship programmes
