Business Analyst – SaaS – Water/Utilities – Hybrid (1-2 office visits per week in London office) - £75,000 plus a healthy benefits package

Our client supports electricity, gas, and water providers with systems for customer billing, market interaction, and operational efficiency. Key Details:

• Business Analyst
• Up to £75,000 plus a healthy benefits package
• Hybrid – Must be able to travel to London 1-2 times per week

Key Responsibilities:

• Evaluate business challenges, gather detailed requirements, and recommend tailored solutions to meet customer needs.
• Lead the solution development process from initial concept through to delivery.
• Perform gap analyses to identify system requirements and suggest enhancements to improve products and services.
• Apply deep understanding of the water industry to help guide product and delivery teams in prioritising and shaping solutions aligned with regulatory and market developments.
• Monitor industry trends, competitor offerings, and new technologies to anticipate opportunities and potential risks for software products.
• Collect and analyse feedback from users on current and upcoming software features to inform continuous improvement and future development aligned with industry shifts.
• Clearly communicate solution benefits, demonstrating how system functionalities address specific customer challenges.
• Work closely with internal stakeholders to ensure customer needs are accurately reflected in system capabilities.
• Contribute to the development of responses to industry-specific queries in procurement processes for water billing and CRM solutions.
• Assist in defining test data requirements and crafting demonstration use cases to validate proposed solutions.

Skills and Qualifications:

• In-depth knowledge of the UK water sector.
• Ability to build trust with stakeholders through strong communication and attentive listening.
• Skilled in presenting complex concepts in a clear and persuasive manner to a range of audiences.
• Background in sales and software environments, with a focus on CRM and billing solutions within the water industry.
• Strong storytelling skills to convey value and drive engagement.
• Analytical mindset with experience in requirements gathering and process mapping.
• Proficiency in system configuration, including test data setup.
• Strong interpersonal skills for fostering effective collaboration both internally and externally.
• Customer-focused approach with a genuine interest in understanding and delivering on user needs.
