A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced and passionate Management Accountantto join the Finance team at The Emory.

The Maybourne is proud to introduce a new architectural landmark to London. The final project designed by the late Lord Richard Rogers,The Emorywill be an exclusive, world-class hub of art and culture which marks the addition of a modern masterpiece to the group's global luxury estate. Situated on Knightsbridge and overlooking Hyde Park, The Emory will present 60 extraordinary suites set over 8 floors and a spectacular penthouse occupying the entire 9th floor.

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive individual to join our team as anManagement Accountant. TheManagement Accountantwill be assisting the Assistant Financial Controller by ensuring accurate general ledger balances, timely end of month processes, accurate relevant Financial reporting and sufficient cash controls as maintained. You will also be responsible for undertaking the Departmental Trainer role of the Finance Division.

Knowledge of Opera Cloud, Sun and Micros is essential.

Main responsibilities of theManagement Accountantinclude, but are not limited to:

  • Ensure expenses are being posted to the correct General Ledger accounts by reviewing the Accounts Payable invoice batches.
  • Prepare, process and collect inter-company, third party restaurant/s, and third party rental recharges.
  • Ensure the hotel maintains proper cash controls and sufficient cash balances.
  • Reconcile the General Ledger balance sheet clearing and control accounts prior to end of month end.
  • Assist AFC and FC in performing balance sheet reconciliations and resolve reconciling items monthly full reconciliation completed by the 15th.
  • You will have general understanding of Accounts Payable/ Cost Control/ Income Audit / Credit Control and Cashier functions, to be able to assist, review and ensure that all roles follow financial requirements and standards.
  • Contribute in maintaining an excellent level of service in conjunction with the minimum requirement of the LQA standards at all times.
