Job Title: Recruiting Manager

Location: London

Role: Full-time permanent role

Working Arrangement: Hybrid policy of minimum 3 days a week in the London office

The role


This newly established role represents an exciting opportunity to serve as the first Recruitment Lead overseeing London and additional global offices. The Recruitment Manager will collaborate closely with the exceptional Director of Recruitment based in the United States, driving efforts to manage lateral associate, counsel, and partner recruitment across seven non-US offices, including London.


The role demands a strategic mindset and innovative approach to meet the unique hiring needs of these offices. By working seamlessly with the US recruitment team and office leads, the Recruitment Manager will play a pivotal role in elevating the firm's recruitment processes, introducing fresh perspectives, and implementing creative solutions to attract top-tier talent.



Some key duties include:


  • Coordinate search firm submissions and introduce candidates sourced internally or through firm-led projects.
  • Collaborate with leadership teams and local office partners to seamlessly guide candidates through the firm’s recruitment and onboarding journey.
  • Act as the primary liaison for candidates and search firms, ensuring a smooth experience throughout the lateral hiring process.
  • Conduct in-depth research on potential lateral candidates, gathering valuable market intelligence on firms and talent pools.
  • Maintain and optimize the firm's database of lateral recruiting candidates for efficient tracking and follow-ups.
  • Engage with search firms to effectively communicate the firm’s brand, strategic goals, and target markets, ensuring the firm remains a top priority for leading talent scouts.





What do you need?


  • Strong work ethic and ability to maintain strict confidentiality.
  • Ability to work well with internal and external clients.
  • Bachelor's degree; 4+ years of recruiting experience, including lateral lawyer recruiting; experience in a law firm.
  • Ability to build relationships quickly and collaborate with attorneys and staff at all levels.
  • A self-starter with the ability to exercise independent judgment; highly professional demeanour.
