Role: HR Manager

Location: South West, London

Salary: £50,000 - £60,000 FTE (DoE); pro rata for part-time

Part-Time Perm: 3 days/week – pref 3 days in the office

VisionFR is excited to be helping a dynamic, relative start-up company in the EV space – A new and Dynamic concept. The company is around 30 staff and growing; based in the UK and also operating in Europe. They are professional, bright yet fun and looking for an energetic individual to join them as their HR Manager on a 3 day per week basis.


The part-time HR Manager will embody and promote the company values, playing a pivotal role in fostering a culture that reflects the company mission. Your expertise will be crucial in creating a supportive, engaging and efficient work environment that resonates with the company values of trust, humanity, and humour. This role demands a proactive, adaptable, and strategic thinker who can work closely with the entire team to drive HR processes and ensure a supportive, efficient and inclusive workplace, aligning with the company commitment to build a positive future.


Key accountabilities


As the part-time HR Manager, your proactive approach and process-driven mindset will be vital in:

  • Operating at both an operational and strategic level to support the business in achieving its aims
  • Guiding and supporting employees and management on HR-related issues, with an emphasis on proactive solutions
  • Administering benefits, compensation and pay processes.
  • Ensuring the effectiveness of end-to-end employment processes like onboarding, performance management, development, and off-boarding
  • Championing legal compliance and the introduction of best practices, focusing on proactive risk management.
  • Assessing employee engagement and productivity, with a proactive stance on recommending and implementing improvement actions
  • Designing communication strategies that empower employees, facilitating proactive feedback and involvement.
  • Developing proactive engagement, recognition, development, wellness and diversity programs.
  • Building a strong partnership with senior managers to foster a culture of trust, recognition, and proactive engagement.


Skills & Experience


Our Client is looking for a part-time HR Manager with:

  • A degree in HRM or related field and/or CIPD level 5 or 7 qualified.
  • Demonstrable experience in collaborating with management to achieve company aims, with a focus on proactive and strategic HR solutions.
  • Several years as an HR generalist, with a strong grounding in all HR aspects, emphasizing process improvement and proactive initiatives.
  • Self-motivation, exceptional organizational and time management abilities, thriving in ambiguous situations by being proactive and adaptable.
  • A strong commercial focus, with the ability to understand and align HR strategies with business objectives.
  • The ability to develop strong working relationships across all levels, collaborating effectively both geographically and functionally.
  • A track record of successful delivery, managing competing priorities with a proactive, results-oriented approach.
  • Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal
