We have an exciting opportunity for a Manufacturing Engineer with a solid background in CNC and CAD/CAM to join our team at our production site in Basingstoke.
The Role
As Manufacturing Engineer, you will provide specialist engineering support involving machining processes and process control for new and existing components.
Key duties:
- Creating programs to provide stable and robust engineering processes in a medium volume environment.
- Running and proving out first off components through validation process.
- Designing all work holding and fixtures required for the production processes, modelling and detailing drawings using CAD software.
- Creating and releasing manufacturing routings in the ERP system.
- Supporting production department with machine stoppages and tooling issues.
- Programming, setting, and operating various simultaneous 5 axis (Inc 3 + 2) Axis CNC milling machines.
- Liaising with Quality control department reviewing component tolerance data and highlighting areas for improvement.
- Supporting in the creation of Inspection reports.
- Creating manufacturing stage drawings for internal processes using CAD software.

What are we looking for?
Key Skills:
- HNC/HND Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
- In-depth knowledge of CNC programming techniques, CAD / CAM, jig and tool design.
- SolidCAM and SolidWorks experience would be preferential
- Experience of setting up equipment and CNC processes.
- Demonstrated ability to resolve problems, educate, and work to exacting standards,
- Competent use of measurement tools
