Overview

As a senior level Associate within our growing Banking & Finance team, you will work on a variety of banking matters including general corporate banking, leveraged and acquisition finance, real estate finance and structured finance, representing banks, financial institutions, and corporate borrowers.

This hire supports the firm’s ambition to build one of the UK’s most dynamic and future-focused Finance practices – integrating sector expertise with deep technical skill and a commercial mindset.

Responsibilities

• Work on lender-side matters and regularly assist borrowers on complex, high-profile local, UK and international transactions.
• Contribute to legal innovation, knowledge sharing and the development of practice area frameworks.
• Support junior talent within the team, promoting collaboration and best practice.
• Take a proactive role in business development – presenting to clients, attending events and collaborating with partners on strategic growth initiatives.

Who We're Looking For

• Based in Edinburgh, Glasgow or Aberdeen; a UK-qualified solicitor with 3-6 years PQE and a strong background in banking and financial law.
• Consultative and credible in engagement with senior stakeholders with a track record of client relationship management.
• Demonstrates efficient working practices, such as use of precedents and delegating work to the right level to progress matters effectively.
