JOB SUMMARY AND QUALIFICATIONS:
The Outreach and Prevention Specialist (OPS) works in the community to identify those with increased risk for HIV. The OPS will establish community partnerships supporting outreach objectives in (Henderson and Daviess) counties. They will facilitate HIV and sexual health education classes, community outreach events and activities, and collaborate with the outreach team and community partners to strengthen community impact. They will encourage individuals to participate in testing and education events; they will support safer sex supply distribution and social networking strategies. OPS will oversee and recruit participants from all populations. They will volunteer to support program objectives. OPS will work weekdays with some flexible evening and weekend hours depending on the time of year and need. The OPS must be able to exercise tact and discretion to sustain confidential relationships with clients. You must maintain confidentiality while adhering to agency policies and grant stipulations.
