We’re seeking an experienced digital professional with in-depth knowledge and experience of social media channels, audiences and content. As Social Media Manager you will bring a creative approach to driving cut through and bringing our world-leading research, exceptional student experience and diverse partnerships and innovation to life, driving student retention and recruitment and building the reputation of the University.
Alongside content production, you’ll play a key role in community and reputation management, including monitoring our channels, engaging with followers and supporting issues management.
Your creative skills will be matched by a keen eye for detail and a zest for planning. You’ll be responsible for reporting on content effectiveness and spotting areas for improvement. You’ll keep on top of social media content and campaigns planning, ensuring social activity joins up with wider communications and marketing plans.
This is a fast-paced, hands-on role where attention to detail, creativity and collaboration are vital.
For this position the department may consider a part time applicant working no less than 30 hours per week. A responsibility within this role is to support emergency, reactive/reputational communications.
Whilst there is a need to be in Portsmouth a few days a week, hybrid working is available for this role. You will on occasion work out of standard hours e.g. to support key events such as Open Days for which notice is provided and time off in lieu is granted.
