Job Description

Turner & Townsend is currently recruiting for Project Managers to join our Life Science Real Estate Team. With a market leading client base and the opportunity to take the lead on immediate commissions, this is an exciting time to join the business unit and grow a career with Turner & Townsend. This role is client facing, working within a professional and ambitious team, where you will receive excellent support.

Responsibilities

  • Conducting background research, data collection and benchmarking
  • Leading on technology and innovation projects in the life sciences sector, at the enabling stage (could include laboratories, data centres, biotech facilities, etc.)
  • Establishing effective processes and systems to be utilised throughout the project
  • Monitoring and documenting project progress and other performance indicators
  • Tracking and documenting changes
  • Preparing written project communication materials
  • Preparing formal project progress and other reports
  • Liaising with the client, contractors and designers
  • Attending meetings and drafting minutes, etc.
  • Preparing presentation materials for client pitches, etc.
  • Inputting key information into the Turner & Townsend internal database

Qualifications

To be considered for this role, you will need:

  • Minimum 5 years' experience
  • Relevant qualification (project management or construction management)
  • Ideally NEC accredited Project Manager
  • Member of a chartered institute e.g., RICS or happy to work towards
  • Good knowledge of construction industry themes such as MMC, Net Zero Carbon and Digital agenda
  • Good knowledge of project lifecycle and business case approvals process
  • Ideally experience of working on technology / innovation projects
  • Detailed knowledge of and experience in large scale technology and innovation projects in the life sciences sector (5 years)
  • Experience of master planning/strategic estate development and capital project planning for business case compilation is desirable.
  • Detailed experience of NEC contract administration is desirable
  • Demonstrable experience in client-facing roles at all levels (including Directors of Technology/Strategy and Planning/Capital Development to stakeholders and end-users)
