We are currently recruiting for a Graduate Electrical Engineer to join our Cement and Packed Products Team at Aberthaw Cement Plant in Wales.

As part of the UK and Ireland Cement and Packed division, you will participate in our 3-year graduate scheme, helping you to make decisions to deliver business impact, present powerfully, communicate effectively and develop many other key skills. You will play an important role in keeping UK infrastructure moving, contributing to the successful production of cementitious products.

What you'll be doing

• Learning your engineering craft, gaining a detailed understanding of cement engineering, manufacturing and production via a dedicated Tarmac development programme and the CRH international technical programme
• Hands-on experience on site, contributing to successful continuous plant performance, addressing production and process bottlenecks for improved output, stability and environmental aspects
• Primarily based on one plant for the first 3 years, with opportunities to gain experience on plants across the UK and Ireland Cluster through an international assignment
• Assist in tracking key process parameters and analyse data to optimise plant performance, making recommendations for modifications
• Acquire knowledge, understanding and practical application of all safety policies, procedures and practices and actively lead and drive safety standards and improvements
• Involvement in root cause analysis to understand costs and business impacts from plant un-planned downtime
• Develop knowledge of integrating new systems into plant operations

• Degree in Electrical Engineering
• Driving license and ability to travel
• Willing to work in different locations across UK and Ireland (and international assignments in the future)
