Automotive Parts Advisor – Watford

Location: Watford

Schedule: Monday to Friday (no weekends)

Employment Type: Permanent, Full-time

Salary: £27,000–£30,000 + Bonus up to £1,800 and on-site parking

Working hours: Monday to Thursday 08:00–17:30 and Friday 08:00–16:30 (no weekends)

We are proud to partner with a respected name in the automotive vehicle aftermarket to recruit an experienced Automotive Parts Advisor for their Watford branch. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Parts Advisor who thrives in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment. You’ll join a collaborative, professional branch team dedicated to delivering efficient and knowledgeable service to trade customers.

You will also ensure that the parts stock room is well maintained and stock levels are managed, taking responsibility for the ordering and selling of a wide range of vehicle parts and accessories.

Responsibilities

• Deal with front and back counters, facing customers face to face or over the phone.
• Ensure that walk-in and telephone customers are promptly dealt with.
• Maintain an up-to-date inventory of parts and ensure timely delivery to customers.
• Maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure the availability of quality parts.
• Assist in identifying and sourcing new parts to expand product offerings.
• Communicate effectively with customers to answer questions or concerns and provide updates on order status.

What We’re Looking For / Qualifications

• Experience in automotive vehicles, car dealership, truck/trailer, or general automotive parts.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• A commercially aware, confident approach to pricing and negotiation.
• A team player with a positive, hands-on attitude.
• Familiarity with stock systems and fast-moving parts environments is beneficial.
• Familiarity with Automotive Parts Dealer Management Systems.
