Overview

Senior Consultant/Consultant - Waste & Resources role at Stantec. The role supports the delivery of a diverse portfolio of projects across the UK, focusing on waste and circular economy solutions for local authorities and private sector clients.

Responsibilities

  • Supporting the delivery of larger projects, including leading specific work streams.
  • Managing smaller projects with appropriate support.
  • Contributing to proposals and business development.
  • Helping grow recognition of Stantec’s expanding capabilities in waste and circular economy.

This role will involve working on a diverse portfolio of projects focusing on developing robust waste and circular economy strategies, supporting waste infrastructure procurement exercises, assessing opportunities to decarbonise waste operations, delivering options appraisals to identify best-value service development, supporting the implementation of waste policy and legislation, contributing to infrastructure development projects (e.g., EIA or DCO documentation) and managing and analysing waste and resources data across the lifecycle.

About You / Qualifications

  • Degree qualified in a related discipline (e.g., science, environment or engineering) and ideally Chartered status with a relevant professional body (e.g., CIWM, IEMA) on the road to Chartership.
  • Proven experience delivering waste management and/or circular economy strategies.
  • Strong technical report writing skills.
  • Good understanding of relevant legislation and policy.
  • Experience in consultancy or related industry.
  • Strong data analysis and interpretation skills.
