Job Description

This is an excellent opportunity, reporting into Group you will play a key role in leading and optimising the manufacturing operations across several sites. This pivotal role requires a strategic thinker with a proven track record in managing large-scale production, driving operational excellence, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.

This Manufacturing Directors’ key responsibilities will include:

  • Provide strategic leadership and direction to multiple manufacturing sites ensuring alignment with the company goals and objectives.
  • Implement best practice to enhance efficiency, productivity, and quality across all sites. Drive lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Develop and manage budgets, forecasts, and cost control measures to achieve financial targets.
  • Mentor and develop site managers and their teams, promoting a culture of high performance and professional growth.
  • Ensure all sites comply with industry standards and regulations, maintaining the highest quality of products and processes.
  • Champion a safe working environment, prioritising employee health and safety across all facilities.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends and technological advancements, integrating innovative solutions to maintain competitive advantage.
  • Work closely with senior leadership, supply chain and other key stakeholders to drive the strategic initiatives and ensure seamless operations.

Parkinson | Lee Executive Search are particularly keen to speak with experienced Manufacturing Directors with multi-site experience in addition to the following:

  • Degree qualified (engineering or manufacturing preferred) with a minimum of 10 years in a senior manufacturing leadership role and minimum of 5 years managing multiple sites.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. Proven ability to drive change and deliver results in a complex, fast-paced environment.
  • Deep understanding of manufacturing processes, lean principles, and quality systems. Experience with ERP Systems and data-driven decision making.
  • Willingness to travel frequently between sites.
