Overview
Talent Acquisition Lead at UK Atomic Energy Authority (UKAEA). The role involves partnering with stakeholders to create and deliver end-to-end recruitment strategies to meet current and future talent needs of Corporate Functions. You’ll build internal relationships, promote the employer brand, and enhance candidate experience. The role follows a hybrid working approach: three days per week in Culham, Oxfordshire, with home working the rest of the time.
Responsibilities
- Build strong relationships with Corporate Functions to recruit high-quality candidates, managing the recruitment process from talent attraction and engagement through to offer management.
- Conduct talent mapping, identify trends, and analyse external competition to deliver skilled talent pipelines and provide competitor and candidate insights.
- Develop innovative sourcing strategies to attract both passive and active candidates across channels (LinkedIn, networking, recruitment marketing).
- Promote the UKAEA brand and values through candidate engagement and shortlisting, delivering high-quality shortlists to hiring managers.
- Drive and contribute to change initiatives; continuously assess and improve talent acquisition infrastructure and processes to support the business strategy.
- Operationalise the talent acquisition strategy and drive continuous improvement projects with the People business partnering team and stakeholders.
- Champion equality, diversity, and inclusion (EDI) and provide best-practice guidance at every recruitment stage, promoting UKAEA as an inclusive employer.
- Act as a subject matter expert and role model, sharing best practice on recruitment processes, policy, technology and industry trends.
Requirements
The salary for this role is £39,610 and will be based from our Culham site in Oxfordshire. The role requires completion of an online Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS), including DBS checks for criminal convictions and possibly a search of open source data.
Essential Qualifications
- Demonstrable in-house recruitment experience, ideally for Corporate Functions.
- In-depth understanding of recruitment best practices and legislation.
- Proven experience using direct sourcing methods across channels to deliver effective solutions aligned to business requirements.
- Ability to manage ambiguity and drive change to achieve results.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and advise stakeholders and guide hiring decisions.
- Strong organisational and problem-solving capabilities.
- Proactive attitude towards personal development and embracing new responsibilities.
