Role Description

Newcastle College is looking for the right person who has the necessary knowledge and skills to work in a diverse environment in the education sector. You will need to show you have the knowledge and professional aptitude within the security sector, excellent customer-focused skills, and team ethics. Fully conversant with all security operations including the operation of CCTV, intruder alarms, fire alarms, and access controls.

The successful candidate will be working a shift pattern on a term-time basis, 39 weeks per annum, working 5 hours per day (Monday to Friday).

Responsibilities

The role involves maintaining a secure environment on college premises by monitoring and responding to security incidents, operating CCTV, intruder alarms, fire alarms, and access control systems, and providing high-quality customer service to staff, students, and visitors.

Qualifications

Essential: knowledge and professional aptitude within the security sector; experience with CCTV, intruder alarms, fire alarms, and access controls; excellent customer-focused skills and strong teamwork. Shift pattern as described (term-time).
