About the role

TheEdShift Volunteer and Fundraising Coordinatoris a crucial role, improving the quality of life of children and young people impacted by domestic abuse and helping prevent others from entering harmful relationships by engaging them at the earliest opportunity through community, volunteering, and arts-based activities. This role will also be central to helping EdShift achieve our mission, build our volunteer base, increase our fundraising efforts, ultimately reach more young people, and strengthen our long-term sustainability.

  • Location: Calderdale (with some flexible/remote working)
  • Contract: Part-time, 24 hours per week
  • Salary: £18,162 per annum (pro rata, based on £28,000 FTE)
  • Reports to: CEO

As our Volunteer and Fundraising Coordinator, you will:

Lead fundraising efforts and design strategies that support EdShift’s mission.

Build meaningful relationships with donors, local businesses, and community groups.

Recruit, train, and support volunteers, ensuring their experience is positive and fulfilling.

Plan, coordinate, and deliver fundraising events and campaigns, from small community activities to larger-scale initiatives.

Keep accurate records of donations, volunteer involvement, and fundraising activity.

Report on progress, successes, and challenges to the team and board.

this role will suit someone who is:

An excellent communicator with strong interpersonal skills.

Organised, detail-oriented, and confident in event planning.

Experienced in fundraising and/or volunteer management (paid or voluntary).

Able to work independently and as part of a small, passionate team.

Comfortable using relevant software and databases (training can be provided).

Passionate about EdShift’s mission and motivated to support children and young people.
