Base pay range: Audit & Accounts Manager. Are you a proactive Audit & Accounts Manager looking to work for an established dynamic accountancy practice?

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and lead multiple audit assignments from planning to completion for a varied client portfolio.
• Supervise audit and accounts teams, providing guidance and mentorship to junior staff and ensuring compliance with audit and accounts methodology.
• Review working papers, financial statements, and audit reports to ensure technical accuracy and completeness.
• Manage Audit & Accounts teams workloads.
• Run weekly update meetings for all Audit & Accounts team reporting to the directors.
• Develop and maintain strong client relationships, acting as the main point of contact for day-to-day audit matters.
• Monitor audit budgets, reporting variances and ensuring efficiency in delivery.
• Identify and communicate audit findings and recommendations to clients.
• Keep abreast of relevant financial reporting and auditing standards.
• Support business development efforts by identifying new opportunities and participating in proposal development.

Qualifications and Skills

• ACA/ACCA qualified, with a minimum of 3–5 years post-qualified experience in audit.
• Proven experience in managing audit assignments and teams within a practice environment.
• Strong technical knowledge of UK accounting and auditing standards.
• Commercial awareness and the ability to manage competing priorities.
• Meet monthly planning targets.
• Microsoft Office Suite (in particular Excel) and Accountancy Software such as IRIS, TaxCalc, Xero, Quickbooks, Sage.
• Proactive in approach and excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Able to work under pressure and hit deadlines.
