Department Overview:
Warner Bros. Studios Leavesden (WBSL) is a purpose built, state-of-the-art film and television studio offering one of the largest facilities in the UK. This 200-acre secure site has a half a million square feet of stage space, a back-lot tank, one of the largest heated underwater filming tanks in Europe and a 100 acre back-lot
Primary Purpose of the Job:
- To provide support to the Studio Operations Manager and the Studio Operations Department to ensure efficient service delivery to our clients and customers.
- The position requires a highly motivated individual who has experience of working as part of a team in a fast moving, often pressurized environment.
- They must be able to demonstrate initiative when being issued tasks and left to work unsupervised.
Essential Job Functions:
- To deliver, arrange, remove furniture for clients, taking care to protect Warner Bros. assets.
- To occasionally work offsite delivering and installing furniture, and collecting items from offsite offices/suppliers.
- General maintenance across site including painting and decorating of office suites.
- Ensure that all works are completed in a timely fashion and that care is taken to leave areas clean and tidy.
- Adhere to all Warner Bros. site, Health & Safety, and waste policies.
- Monitor and maintain a high standard of cleanliness throughout the site, this would involve general groundskeeping/Litter picking.
- Be available to help on site with ad hoc duties as required.
- To regularly inspect department vehicles to ensure safety on the roads at all times.
- To use a work management application on an IPAD to accept, complete and report on issued job requests.
- To use I-Auditor, an application used for check lists.
- To use basic Microsoft office applications such as Teams, Outlook, Word and Excel.
- Snow / Ice clearance when required.
- Maintain, clean, and report any problems with vehicles.
- To assist Operations Management team in the daily operation of the Studio site.
- To meet the needs of all clients whilst delivering excellent levels of service.
- Meet and communicate with clients regarding job requests and update on the progress of these requests.
Selection Criteria:
Relevant Previous Work Experience
- Previous experience in a manual handling role.
- Proven experience of working as part of a team within a fast-moving often pressurized environment.
- General Labouring/furniture removals experience preferred.
- Experience of working in a customer service environment.
Skills Required:
- Ability to cope under extreme pressure from clients and colleagues, responding quickly and appropriately to requests, using own initiative, and be prepared to ask for help and advice when necessary.
- Effective team working is essential in this role, demonstrating strong team orientation, ability to work closely and well with other team members.
- Resilient, tenacious, flexible, diplomatic, committed with strong interpersonal skills and a willingness to get involved.
- Must have the abilities to prioritize and handle multiple tasks and using a common-sense approach.
- Ability to work with technology and various software packages, such as I-Auditor, Planon and Microsoft Office package.
- Ability to think ahead and anticipate needs of the department and remain calm under pressure.
- Full driving license and experience in driving vans.
