Key Responsibilities

Provide strategic direction and leadership for the civil engineering teamnOversee the delivery of infrastructure design projects, ensuring quality, profitability, and client satisfactionnLead and develop key client relationships across the development and construction sectorsnSupport business development, tendering, and bid writing activitiesnManage resourcing, team growth, and staff development within the civil engineering disciplinenContribute to board-level discussions and help shape business-wide strategynMaintain up-to-date knowledge of industry standards, legislation, and innovations in sustainable infrastructure

Projects & Sectors

The Director will lead a diverse range of civil infrastructure projects, including:nResidential and commercial developmentsnHighway and junction improvementsnDrainage and SuDS schemesnPublic realm and regeneration projectsnContractor-led design and build schemes

Candidate Requirements

Chartered Civil Engineer (CEng, MICE or equivalent)nMinimum of 10 years' experience, including recent experience at Associate or Director levelnProven technical background in highways and drainage designnCommercially aware, with a track record of profitable project deliverynExperience working with private developers, local authorities, architects, and multidisciplinary teamsnStrong leadership skills with experience managing and mentoring engineersnProficient in relevant design software (AutoCAD, Civil 3D, MicroDrainage or Causeway Flow)nClear communication skills and a collaborative approach to leadership
