The Role…
As a Client Development Manager, you will manage and nurture established and emerging Beauty, Wellness, and Fashion accounts. You will serve as the primary contact for these accounts, ensuring their success by managing the sales cycle, client briefs, and developing a deep understanding of clients' businesses and industry landscapes. These relationships are client or PR facing, not agency. You will be supported by the Client Development Team. The ideal candidate is proactive, organized, and passionate about building strong client relationships and driving revenue growth.
Main Duties…
- Serve as the primary point of contact for developing beauty, wellness, and fashion clients.
- Manage campaigns with a comprehensive approach, ensuring clients receive exceptional service and value, supported by our Client Success and Creative Strategy Teams.
- Develop client relationships directly and via PR agencies.
- Drive revenue growth by managing client accounts effectively, leveraging cross-selling and upselling techniques to meet targets.
- Utilize Salesforce and similar tools to manage the sales pipeline, opportunities, and activities, taking full ownership of the sales cycle.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key client stakeholders, understanding their challenges, goals, and objectives. Develop business plans aligned with their needs.
- Gain extensive knowledge of clients' industries, including market challenges, trends, and competition, and provide insights accordingly.
- Collaborate with internal teams to deliver exceptional client service and meet expectations, acting as a liaison between clients and internal stakeholders.
- Maximize initiatives like ‘Style and Supper’ and take responsibility for the commercial success of ‘Beauty & Brunch’.
- Analyze account performance, sales metrics, and market trends; provide regular reports and strategic recommendations.
- Support the team by adapting to client development needs to achieve revenue goals, demonstrating agility and multi-tasking skills.
- Represent Hearst UK and its values as an ambassador.
- Perform additional duties as required based on skills and experience.
What We Are Looking For…
- Experience in building revenues through partnerships, with a move towards direct client annual deals and contracts.
- Industry experience within media, with a strong understanding of media landscape, trends, and best practices.
- Vertical expertise relevant to the categories managed, with knowledge of industry challenges and opportunities.
- Understanding of various media channels and cross-media strategies.
- Proven ability to manage and nurture relationships with stakeholders, fostering collaboration.
- Track record of managing client satisfaction and delivering value-added solutions.
- Skills in developing compelling commercial narratives and strategies aligned with client objectives.
- Proficiency in data analysis and insights to inform decisions and strategies.
- Ability to optimize operational processes for maximum productivity.
- Excellent negotiation and conflict resolution skills.
- Adaptability to market changes and organizational priorities.
- Active networking within the industry for professional growth.
- Understanding of target audiences and engagement strategies.
- Proficiency in tools like PowerPoint, Excel, Salesforce, TGI, Ad Intel, Ipsos, IrisI, and others for data analysis and presentation creation.
