Commercial Lawyer (Public Sector)

(fully remote or hybrid options available in Wales)

6-month contract (with likely extension up to 24 months)

£58,918 starting salary (non-negotiable, rising to £70,450 over 3 years)


We’re looking for an experienced Commercial Lawyer (min. 3 years PQE) to join a major public sector legal team at a critical time in UK and Welsh affairs. This is an opportunity to work on nationally significant projects, advising on complex commercial matters and shaping the legal framework behind major public investments.

About you

  • Qualified Solicitor, Barrister, or Chartered Legal Executive (England & Wales qualified only).
  • At least 3 years’ post-qualification experience.
  • Strong experience in one or more of: commercial contracts, grants, debt/equity financing, security documents, corporate governance, public/private partnerships.
  • Able to meet the requirements of an extensive onboarding and security clearance process.


Key details

  • Contract: 6 months initially, with strong potential to extend up to 24 months.
  • Salary: £58,918 (non-negotiable, rising with tenure).

  • Security clerarance process will be required before commencement of the role
