We are currently recruiting: Health & Safety Consultant

Contract Type: Permanent – Full Time Role

We are seeking to recruit a talented Health & Safety professional to work with both our existing and new clients. This is a highly autonomous role which reports to the Managing Director.

As one of our Health & Safety Consultants your duties will include:

  • Providing Health & Safety advice and delivery capabilities to our clients.
  • Developing and implementing Health & Safety strategies to achieve legal compliance.
  • Supporting clients with the development of their processes and procedures.
  • Delivering ISO Management Standards including ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 through a mix of consulting, auditing and training.
  • Building relationships with existing and potential clients to understand their business and offer solutions.
  • Reciprocal sharing of knowledge and experience with colleagues.
  • Supporting colleagues and the business with business development activities to continue to grow our consultancy offering.
  • Identifying and developing new service offerings.
  • Contributing to company growth and objectives.

To be successful in this role as a Health & Safety Consultant you will have the following skills and experience:

  • Membership of a relevant professional body such as Chartered IOSH or Fellow IIRSM.
  • An extensive knowledge of current Health & Safety legislation and its application to business and industry. Knowledge of the rail industry would be an advantage but not essential.
  • Practical experience of CDM regulations and completing of inspections, audits, risk assessments and method statements.
  • Understanding of implementing SHEQ management systems (ISO 45001/14001/9001).
  • Excellent communication skills and an ability to keep our clients delighted.
  • A proactive self-starter with a hands on approach, able to build relationships and networks both within and externally to our business.
  • Strong MS Office skills, in particular Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Self-motivated, dynamic and personable with a positive ‘can do’ attitude.
