About the Role

My client, a leading international law firm, is seeking a Senior Associate (4PQE+) to join their national Banking & Finance Practice Group in Birmingham. This is an exciting opportunity to work on high-profile domestic and cross-border transactions, advising a diverse client base including private equity sponsors, corporates, banks, and funds.

You’ll be part of a collaborative and ambitious team with a strong reputation in corporate and leveraged finance, real estate finance, and debt capital markets. The firm offers a dynamic environment where innovation, development, and client service are at the heart of everything they do.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and support a broad range of banking transactions, primarily in corporate and leveraged finance
• Advise clients on M&A, refinancing, asset-based lending, and debt capital markets
• Collaborate with internal teams across Corporate, Tax, Restructuring, and Private Equity
• Participate in business development and client relationship initiatives
• Mentor junior team members and contribute to knowledge sharing

About You

• UK qualified solicitor with 4+ years’ PQE in Banking & Finance
• Strong experience in corporate debt and leveraged finance
• Commercially minded with excellent client management skills
• A team player who thrives in a non-hierarchical, collaborative environment
• Motivated to contribute to business development and wider firm initiatives
